Arnside Signal Box, original square acrylic painting on canvas

This is a painting of the Arnside signal box, but my Grandad worked in a signal box in Colne till Beeching closed the line.And his signal box doesn’t exist anymore for me to paint so I decided to paint this one instead

It certainly wasn’t his first job, he had done all sorts including driving lorries in the second world war as he wasn’t medically allowed to be a soldier.
