“Views from Irton Road” original painting of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, acrylic A4 on paper in a Black Frame with a white mount
One of the first trips I went on as a child was to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, it rained. we wore ponchos. Years later the last holiday we took with my eldest child before my youngest was born was a trip to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, as he was obsessed with trains at the time. Thankfully it didn’t rain that time as I am too tall to fit inside the covered carriages. We stayed in Dalegarth near the station and caught the first train in the morning to Ravenglass, we had a short break before returning to Dalegarth and then going to Brockholes on Windermere.
